Locations in GTA Online and Story Mode

The Gauntlet, a classic American muscle car in GTA (Grand Theft Auto) V, holds a special place in the hearts of many players.

Its powerful engine, sleek design, and customizable options make it a favorite for races, getaways, or simply cruising the streets of Los Santos.  But where exactly can you find one (or three) of these beauties?

This comprehensive guide dives deep into all Gauntlet locations across GTA Online and Story Mode, providing  descriptions, maps, and  additional tips for acquiring these coveted vehicles.

Gauntlet in GTA Online:

In GTA Online, acquiring a Gauntlet isn’t simply a matter of finding one parked on the street. Instead, you’ll need to unlock it through specific means depending on the variant you desire. Here’s a breakdown of acquiring all three Gauntlets in GTA Online:

Gauntlet (Classic Muscle):

Method: Purchase from Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $335,000.

Description: This is the standard Gauntlet, a timeless muscle car with a powerful V8 engine and a customizable body kit.

This Gauntlet is readily available for purchase, so acquiring it is straightforward. However, saving up for the $335,000 price tag might take some time.

Gauntlet Classic Custom (Muscle):

Win all three Random Vehicle Events.

This upgraded version of the Gauntlet boasts improved performance and a unique custom body kit.

Random Vehicle Events are special challenges that pop up across the map. Winning all three can be tricky, so be prepared for some challenging races or chases.

Here are some resources to help you find Random Vehicle Events:

Gauntlet Hellfire (Muscle):

Unlocked for free during The Doomsday Heist Act I finale – “Bogdan Problem.” You’ll need to complete the heist setup missions and finale as part of a team.

This heavily armored and weaponized version of the Gauntlet is a force to be reckoned with. It features a mounted minigun and additional defenses.

The Doomsday Heist is a complex heist requiring teamwork and coordination.  If you don’t have a regular crew, you can use the in-game matchmaking system to find other players or look for heist groups online.

Gauntlet in GTA Story Mode:

In GTA Story Mode,  acquiring a Gauntlet is a bit more straightforward, but with a twist. Here’s what you need to know:

There are three Gauntlets hidden throughout the map, specifically required during the story mission “Eye for an Eye.”

These Gauntlets are pre-customized with unique paint jobs and modifications.

Once you acquire all three Gauntlets and deliver them to the yellow shipping container near the docks, you’ll unlock a special ability for Franklin – “Franklin’s Special Ability Buff.” This ability increases the duration of Franklin’s special ability.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of all three Gauntlet locations in Story Mode:

Pillbox Hill Gauntlet:

Parked on the roof of the multi-story car park next to Vangelico’s store in Pillbox Hill.

This Gauntlet has a black and white paint job with a spoiler and racing stripes.

Simply drive to the top floor of the car park and enter the Gauntlet.

Rockford Hills Gauntlet:

Parked on the driveway of a mansion in Rockford Hills, located across the street from the jewelry store you rob in the story mission “The Jewel Store Job.”

This Gauntlet has a silver paint job with a chrome grille and racing rims.

This Gauntlet is parked in plain sight, so simply drive up and enter it.

Q: How many Gauntlet variations are there to find in GTA 5?

There’s just one base Gauntlet model, but you’ll need to find three specifically modified versions for certain missions.

Q: Are these Gauntlets scattered randomly across the map?

Thankfully, no! Each Gauntlet has a specific location you can visit to find it.

Q: Do I need to steal these Gauntlets, or can I buy them?

You’ll need to steal all three Gauntlets for mission purposes. Buying them isn’t an option.

Q: Alright, where can I find the first Gauntlet?

Head to Pillbox Hill. Look for a multi-story parking structure and make your way to the rooftop. The Gauntlet will be waiting for you.

Q: Is there anything else to consider in Pillbox Hill?

Nope! The Gauntlet is usually parked prominently, so spotting it shouldn’t be an issue.

Q: Moving on to Gauntlet number two, where’s that hiding?

This one’s in Rockford Hills. Remember the jewelry heist location? The Gauntlet will be parked nearby on the street.

Q: Last but not least, where’s the final Gauntlet?

This one can be found in Mission Row. Keep an eye out for an open parking lot; the Gauntlet will likely be parked there.

Q: Is there anything tricky about finding the Gauntlet in Mission Row?

Not necessarily! It should be readily visible in the parking lot.

Q: Why am I specifically looking for Gauntlets? There are other muscle cars!

These particular Gauntlets are required for specific missions in GTA 5’s story mode.

Q: Do I need to keep these Gauntlets after the missions?

Nope! Once you complete the missions, you can ditch the cars if you don’t like them.

Q: Is there a benefit to keeping the Gauntlets?

If you like the way they handle, sure! You can also customize them at Los Santos Customs.

Q: I heard there’s a reward for delivering the Gauntlets in pristine condition. Is that true?

You got it! Delivering all three Gauntlets without a scratch during the missions gets you a special reward: bulletproof tires for your personal vehicles.

Q: Are there any other cool muscle cars I can find in GTA 5?

Absolutely! The world of Los Santos is crawling with amazing muscle cars. Explore the streets and hidden alleys to discover them.

Q: What if I want to customize my own muscle car instead of using the Gauntlets?

Los Santos Customs is your friend! You can bring any car there and modify it to your heart’s content.

Q: Is there a legal way to acquire a Gauntlet in GTA 5?

Once you complete the story mode, Gauntlets might start spawning randomly on the streets. You can also try your luck checking car dealerships after the story’s conclusion.

Q: The Gauntlet looks pretty sweet. What’s it based on?

The Gauntlet draws inspiration from classic American muscle cars like the Dodge Charger and the Ford Mustang.
